When it is done restoring, it should give you a message saying it is done. Press “Z” or the GameCube controller or “2” on the Wiimote to confirm. It will then ask are you sure you want to overwrite it. If you have an SSBM save file on the memory card already, it will prompt whether you want to overwrite your existing save file. Highlight that one and press “A” to start restoring. You can double check the dates of each save file, but the SD Remix Lite save file is likely to be the last one listed of that name. If you’ve made a backup, there will be multiple with the same name. There should be at least one save file called “01-GALE-SuperSmashBros0110290334” (or “01-GALP-SuperSmashBros0110290334” for our PALs in parts the world). Choose whichever slot has the memory card in it. It now asks you to choose a memory card slot to restore to. We now want to choose “Restore”, which is “X” on the GameCube controller or “+” on the Wiimote. Step 6: Restore the SD Remix Lite save file onto your memory card It will tell you when it has finished backing up the save file. From the list, pick the one that says “01-GALE-SuperSmashBros0110290334” (or “01-GALP-SuperSmashBros0110290334” for our PALs in parts the world), by highlighting it and pressing “A”. It will now have a list of save files currently on your memory card. Pick whichever slot your memory card is currently in. Put your SD card or USB drive in your Wii and boot up the Homebrew Channel. If there isn’t one already, create a folder called “MCBACKUP” to the root of your SD card or USB drive, making sure all the letters are uppercase. Step 2: Put the SD Remix Lite save file on your device This will copy the “gcmm” folder in the “apps” folder to the “apps” folder on your SD card or USB drive. Copy that folder to the root of your SD card or USB drive. Inside that folder, there is an “apps” folder. Inside, there is a folder with the same name as the zip file.
